On Chalk Talk, host Andres T talks with Valerie Ortega, event coordinator of "Battle of the Badges" charity football game about the event and how it benefits the Ten-82 Fund helping families of officers affected by tragedy including the latest fallen Rio Rancho Officer Greg Benner's family. The game is slated to take place on August 1st, 2015 at Rio Rancho High School Stadium. Featured guest on the show is, 9 year old Albuquerque Track & Field Star Acacia Dairsow headed to USA Track & Field Junior Olympic Nationals in Jacksonville, Florida at the end of July. Acacia talks about her journey as an athlete and about her specialty which is high jump. She also talks about how this being her first year has turned some heads. This week on Chalk Talk showcases the Summer Fun Series and a Basketball Tournament Extravaganza in Albuquerque. Featured segment on the show is all about Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque and the service it provides to the community.

First segment on Chalk Talk continues the Summer Fun Series as guest DK Ricks with Nuttin'' But Net joins the show to keep your summer fun going with a "Just For Fun Basketball tournament in Albuquerque on July 18-19 to benefit New Mexico Youth Day and the University of New Mexico Basketball Programs. This family fun event is open to the public and must register quick to play.
Featured segment on the show is all about an organization that is THE only home delivery meal program of its kind in Albuquerque. Meals On Wheels provides nutritious meals for individuals and families who may not be able to leave their homes, disabled or are recovering from illness. A huge annual event called Breakfast Eggstravaganza is taking place on July 18th and all proceeds go to Meals On Wheels.

This week on Chalk Talk: Tech Tid Bits and the HoloLens is out of this world! It's a Double Summer Fun Series Feature with Image New Mexico 2015 all about New Mexico. And take a time machine at Casa San Ysidro!

This week host Andres T kicks things off with "Tech Tid Bits" and talks about the Mircrosoft HoloLens, its practical possibilities and its use in space. Also, it's a "Double Summer Fun Series" Feature. First in the feature is Image New Mexico 2015 and it's all about images taken of New Mexico by people from around the world. Co-Curator of the event is Photographer Tim Anderson as he explains why you need to come see the exhibition at the Matrix Fine Art Gallery in Albuquerque. Second on the feature will take you to the past. Host Andres T talks with Deb Slaney, Curator at the Albuquerque Museum and she joins the show to talk about the historic Casa San Ysidro. This historical place plays history out by featuring an educational "Second Saturday" every month which is free to the public. Ans on July 11th it's all about Southwestern ironwork!

Lorenzo Marquez joins the show to talk all about the memorial, what it means for Americans, and why it's a gem in Albuquerque. And Featured guest Tara Nicole Arellano (reigning Mrs. New Mexico United States) talks with Andres about her charity called the Mariposa Network and its mission to support victims of brain trauma in New Mexico. She gives listeners the 411 on the 2nd Annual Bike For Brain Trauma Wine Tour & Festival which benefits her organization. Event is June 27th!

Host Andres T kicks things of continuing the "Summer Fun Series" on the show by showcasing one of the coolest car races around and it's the Great Race! Race Director Jeff Stumb joins Chalk Talk to give car enthusiasts a reason to drop by the Unser Race Museum in Albuquerque on June 24th! The Great Race is an antique, vintage, and collector car competitive controlled-speed endurance road rally on public highway on a cross-country trip. Featured segment on the show is all about saving the lives of victims of out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest through education to perform the new CPR called compression-only CPR (COCPR) and to encourage and facilitate the placement and proper utilization of automated external defibrillators (AED). And that's what Project Heart Start is all about! Dr. Barry Ramo joins Andres T to talk about how you can get educated on June 20th and potentially save someone's life!
