And featured segment in the show is about the issue of homelessness in Albuquerque and what are their stories. One freelance photographer is working on a project to tell the stories of those who are homeless. His project... "Welcome to Burque" and he needs the community's help to get thsi project off the ground. Freelance photographer Sal Gomez of Gomez PhotoWorks joins the show  talk about his homeless project called "Welcome To Burque."

Also, Host Andres T features Director of Polly's Run Josh Rogers to talk about the non-profit event which honors Polly Rogers, and all the loved ones we have lost to pancreatic cancer. The purpose of the race is to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research. The families and volunteers for this race would like to encourage you to support Polly’s Run through a donation, large or small.

On Chalk Talk this week Host Andres T has special guest and former University of New Mexico Football star Marcus "Goodie" Goodloe on the show to talk about Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He talks about a luncheon in Rio Rancho on Monday January 19th that listeners are invited to attend presented by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference New Mexico. Goodie was a collegiate All-American and was the 1st African American to earn a Ph.D. from Dallas Baptist University with his focus on  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Featured guest on the show is the Road Runner Food Bank of New Mexico. Communications Officer of the RRFB Sonya Warwick joins Chalk Talk to talk about the issue of hunger in New Mexico and its challenges to fix the issue. Many individuals and families go hungry each and every day and the community can make a difference and help those in need. Sonya talks about one way and that is the "2015 Souper Bowl event taking place on January 24th.

Also on the show, Andres T talks about the Sandia Mountain Snowshoe Race that raises funds for the Friends of the Sandia Mountains organization for preservation, conservation, maintenance of trails and other US Forest Service resources with race director Lou Romero! Listeners are encouraged to sign up and race! Lou also spoke of how the Friends of the Sandia Mountains works to educate people on how important it is to preserve the Sandia mountains and its forest.
