This week on Chalk Talk: Tech Tid Bits and the HoloLens is out of this world! It's a Double Summer Fun Series Feature with Image New Mexico 2015 all about New Mexico. And take a time machine at Casa San Ysidro!

This week host Andres T kicks things off with "Tech Tid Bits" and talks about the Mircrosoft HoloLens, its practical possibilities and its use in space. Also, it's a "Double Summer Fun Series" Feature. First in the feature is Image New Mexico 2015 and it's all about images taken of New Mexico by people from around the world. Co-Curator of the event is Photographer Tim Anderson as he explains why you need to come see the exhibition at the Matrix Fine Art Gallery in Albuquerque. Second on the feature will take you to the past. Host Andres T talks with Deb Slaney, Curator at the Albuquerque Museum and she joins the show to talk about the historic Casa San Ysidro. This historical place plays history out by featuring an educational "Second Saturday" every month which is free to the public. Ans on July 11th it's all about Southwestern ironwork!

This week on Chalk Talk: It's all about the Great Race across America making a pitstop in Albuquerque with cool cars! And, Do you know what to do if someone has sudden cardiac arrest? Project Heart Start is hoping to change that!

Host Andres T kicks things of continuing the "Summer Fun Series" on the show by showcasing one of the coolest car races around and it's the Great Race! Race Director Jeff Stumb joins Chalk Talk to give car enthusiasts a reason to drop by the Unser Race Museum in Albuquerque on June 24th! The Great Race is an antique, vintage, and collector car competitive controlled-speed endurance road rally on public highway on a cross-country trip. Featured segment on the show is all about saving the lives of victims of out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest through education to perform the new CPR called compression-only CPR (COCPR) and to encourage and facilitate the placement and proper utilization of automated external defibrillators (AED). And that's what Project Heart Start is all about! Dr. Barry Ramo joins Andres T to talk about how you can get educated on June 20th and potentially save someone's life!

Featured guest on the show is Ross Hollman with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico. Andres T talks with Ross about getting the community involved with the organization by being a "Big". The focus of the show was on the declining graduation rate in Albuquerque and how BBBS is implementing a new program called Mentor 2.0 to bring the rates back up.

On Chalk Talk this week Host Andres T has special guest and former University of New Mexico Football star Marcus "Goodie" Goodloe on the show to talk about Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He talks about a luncheon in Rio Rancho on Monday January 19th that listeners are invited to attend presented by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference New Mexico. Goodie was a collegiate All-American and was the 1st African American to earn a Ph.D. from Dallas Baptist University with his focus on  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Featured guest on the show is the Road Runner Food Bank of New Mexico. Communications Officer of the RRFB Sonya Warwick joins Chalk Talk to talk about the issue of hunger in New Mexico and its challenges to fix the issue. Many individuals and families go hungry each and every day and the community can make a difference and help those in need. Sonya talks about one way and that is the "2015 Souper Bowl event taking place on January 24th.

Many people are angry and Andres T gives you his take on why they are wrong about being angry. Also on the show, Andres T talks about the Sandia Mountain Snowshoe Race that raises funds for the Friends of the Sandia Mountains organization for preservation, conservation, maintenance of trails and other US Forest Service resources with race director Lou Romero! Listeners are encouraged to sign up and race! Lou also spoke of how the Friends of the Sandia Mountains works to educate people on how important it is to preserve the Sandia mountains and its forest.

Also on the show, Host Andres T talks with President of National School Choice Week Andrew Campanella about the need and importance in having a choice in schools to provide effective education options for all children. National School Choice Week takes place January 25-31, 2015 and provides a platform for parents to take part in placing their children in the right school for them.
