This week on Chalk Talk: How do you promote physical activity and sports for people with anydisability, injury or illness; and raise awareness of disability sports andphysical activity in the community? With the UNM Adapted Sports Fest of course!You love football and football loves you! The Duke City Gladiators are winning.

Kicking off the show features General Manager of Albuquerque's professional football team is Matt Caward with the Duke City Gladiators Professional Indoor Football team. The Gladiators keep winning and are in search to bring home the championship. Get out to a home game! Featured segment on the show is the University of New Mexico Adapted Sports Festival which is set for Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center. Dr. Cathy Tingstrom joins the show to talk about how the value of the UNM Adapted Sports Festival for individuals with a disability is that it provides an opportunity, through adapted sport and recreation activities, to experience the power of their ability and not focus on their disability. The community is encouraged to join in and support these athletes.
